Sam Denton started at UCLA in the Fall of 2021, majoring in bioengineering. During Sam’s time at Lincoln, a couple of people had profound impacts on them. Aisha Beck was Sam’s Math teacher for three years and helped them understand the benefits of truly challenging themself. Lisa Klein-Wolf was Sam’s Leadership teacher for two years and always pushed Sam to be the change they wished to see in the community. Ms. Klein-Wolf was always rooting for Sam and always had their back.

Sam participated on the Varsity Soccer team all four years at Lincoln and found it to be an incredible experience. Sam found that being surrounded by a great group of people who supported them no matter what they had going on really helped them get through high school.

So far in life, Sam considers successfully balancing academics, social life, athletics, clubs, internships, and family responsibilities to be their greatest accomplishment.

We are excited to see where life takes you, Sam!
