Abraham Barrow

Undergraduate: Middlebury College
Planned Major: Undeclared
Recommended Book: "A Visit from the Goon Squad” - Jennifer Egan

Abraham Barrow will begin his freshman year at Middlebury College in the Fall of 2022. He has not yet declared a major, but he is currently intrigued by International Politics and is considering minors in Economics and Arabic.

As a student at Lincoln, Abraham was lucky enough to be able to work with IB Coordinator Mr. Bliss. Mr. Bliss had a profound impact on Abraham’s life during his four years at Lincoln, academically and personally. He was always there when Abraham needed someone to talk to in times of crisis and helped him hold it together when he needed it most. Abraham believes that he would have been significantly less successful in high school without Mr. Bliss.

Outside of his academic pursuits, Abraham participated on Lincoln’s football team. Football was very different from the classes that dominated his days at school, and it provided both a community and structure that motivated him to work harder in all aspects of life. He formed bonds with his teammates and coaches unlike those he has formed elsewhere.

The greatest honor Abraham received at Lincoln was being elected Captain of the football team. He will never forget the trust his teammates placed in him to lead them in both victory and defeat. The feeling of leading the team out of the tunnel every Friday remains very special to him.

During the summer of 2022, before starting college, Abraham is working as a Global Product Development Intern for Mallory Safety and Supply.

Keep up the good work, in and out of the classroom, Abraham!
