Gwyneth Bao starts at Cornell in the fall of 2024, where she plans to major in Computer Science and minor in Cognitive Science.
During her time at Lincoln, Gwyneth cited Ms. Meyer, her Mandarin teacher from Freshman to Junior year, as somebody who had a significant positive impact on her, igniting in her a passion to embrace learning. Gwyneth credits her with much of the success she had at Lincoln, especially as she grounded her through the challenging experience of freshman year online, sophomore year at the old building, to junior year at the new building.
Gwyneth’s favorite extracurricular at Lincoln was the Constitution Team. She worked through even the toughest moments with her teammates and dedicated coach, who were practically her second family. The hours spent learning about civics and preparing for competition were highlights of Gwyneth’s Lincoln experience, and she would highly recommend Constitution Team to other students.
When asked what her best accomplishment in life to date is, Gwyneth spoke about her work with FlockFeast focused on combating food insecurity and spreading compassion. Positively impacting the community is a never ending goal of hers, and Gwyneth is proud of what she’s been able to do for people living on the margins, experiencing hunger and homelessness in Portland, OR.
